Working the weekend midnight shift as an overnight dispatcher to pay his “dues.” Matheson moved to KMSP-TV, FOX 9, as executive producer of “The Buzz,” a long-running and extremely successful daily entertainment segment, in the spring of 2000. He was pushed in front of the camera as a film reviewer for FOX 9’s newly created morning show, “Good Day Minnesota,” within months of his arrival.
Jason has interviewed celebrities such as Ewan McGregor, Cher, Will Smith, Arthur Miller, Meryl Streep, and Emma Thompson during his stint at FOX 9. In 2006, Jason and co-host Alexis Thompson launched “The Saturday Night Groove” on myTalk 107.1.
