Since 2008, Gargiulo has anchored Today in New York with Darlene Rodriguez and has been embedded with United States military units in Afghanistan, Kuwait, Iraq, and the Persian Gulf. In 1984, Gargiulo was hired by WSAZ, NBC‘s affiliate in Charleston, West Virginia, to host the local edition of the syndicated show PM Magazine. In addition, he then worked as a reporter and anchor at WYOU, the CBS affiliate in Scranton, Pennsylvania.
